Upgrade of three packing lines.
Rationale
It had been determined that by reducing the number of bottle formats across three packing lines cost significant cost savings could be made. The opportunity was taken to upgrade obsolete and outdated equipment whilst the packing machines were being mechanically upgraded.
Project Details
- Refurbishment of existing control panels and installation of Siemens s7-1500 PLCs and associated equipment.
- Electrical installation of replacement packaging machinery.
- Replacement of obsolete ASi system with Siemens ET200eco local Profinet I/O.
- Replacement of obsolete ASiSafe system with current IFM equipment.
- Installation and configuration of Siemens TP1500 Comfort HMIs.
- Conversion of Simatic s7 Classic to Siemens TIA Portal.
- Replacement of inter-machine Profibus network with Profinet network.
- Liaison with machine manufacturers to interface with Line Control.
- Re-commissioning of entire lines in conjunction with client and machine suppliers.
